Admissions Arrangements

Applying for a Place

Parents can apply for a school place at any time during the school year. If you are seeking an in-year admission (for example, moving house or changing schools), you can apply online via the https://www.hants.gov.uk/admissions or request a paper application form from the school office.

Our Admissions Policies

We publish:

  • 2025/26 Admissions Policy (for in-year applicants)
  • 2026/27 Admissions Policy (for main round applicants)
  • From 15 March 2026, our determined policy for 2027/28

You can view these policies attached at the bottom of this page.

How We Process In-Year Applications

  • Applications will be processed in line with the School Admissions Code (2021), as set out in paragraph 2.23.
  • We aim to notify parents of the outcome within 10 school days, and you will receive a written decision within 15 school days.
  • If we cannot offer a place, you will receive details of your right to appeal.

What Happens Next

  • If a place is offered, your child is expected to start promptly to ensure continuity of education.
  • If we are unable to offer a place, your child will be added to our waiting list according to our oversubscription criteria.

Your Right to Appeal

If your application is unsuccessful, you have the right to appeal. Details of the appeals process are available on the https://www.hants.gov.uk/admissions/appeals.
