Welcome to Hart Plain Junior School’s website.
We hope that our website will tell existing and prospective parents, children and the local community about the many exciting events taking place at Hart Plain, as well as providing you with plenty of practical information about our school.
At Hart Plain Junior School, we value a close relationship between pupils, parents and staff, so that our school is a friendly, open and accessible place in which children can develop their academic, physical, social and emotional skills. We want every child at Hart Plain to achieve the highest standards possible in all areas of their learning, in an environment of pride and mutual respect, in which children are challenged to achieve their very best and are equipped to become responsible and caring members of the community. We aim to provide rich academic, creative, sporting and pastoral opportunities for all our children so that they are equipped to take their place in the world as they move into adulthood.
We work very hard to establish positive and constructive links between home and school, and to make sure that parents and pupils alike feel that we want to go that extra mile. We were delighted therefore that, in our most recent questionnaire in which over 150 parents shared their views, no parents disagreed with the following statements: 'My child is well looked after at this school'; The school is well led and managed'; and ' I receive valuable information about my child's progress'. 99.5% of parents told us that their children are happy at Hart Plain Junior, 99% felt that their children are taught well here, and 99.5% of parents who expressed an opinion either way told us that we respond well to any concerns raised. Clearly, however, we want to make sure that we get it right for every single parent and every single child and so we are always looking for how we can improve still further.
Our school buildings are surrounded by spacious playing fields and playgrounds, on a large, attractive campus which we share with Hart Plain Infant School and The Cowplain School, with whom we work extremely closely to provide the best possible education for our pupils. Whether you and your child are already members of our school community, or if you would like to join us, I hope that our school website will give you a valuable insight into life at our school.
